My name is Melissa Hedstrom and I am 24 years old. I was born and raised in St. Petersburg/ Largo Florida. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, playing video games, and taking my dog Barkley to the dog park.
I received my associates degree from St. Petersburg College and am now currently a full time student at Eckerd College. I will be receiving my Bachelor of Science majoring in mathematics in May 2011. I intend to begin graduate school at The University of South Florida for mathematics in the Fall of 2011.
I am currently employed by Brookdale Senior Living as an office clerk in the Personalized Living department. I have been with the company since 2005. I also work part time for Eckerd College as a math tutor and tutor privately as well. My other part time job is with R. Scott Andringa, a criminal/ traffic attorney, where I assist with advertisement and paperwork.
I am so proud of this foundation and everything that they have accomplished and continue to work on. I am so amazed and grateful for what Kris has been able to create. As Dean's daughter, I am so thankful to everyone who contributes and participates in this foundation. My father was a funny man, a kind person, and someone who always gave me great advice. I miss him greatly and I know that he would be so proud and honored for all of the efforts of his foundation and so grateful that we are working to help protect others from the awful disease that took him away from us.
