Travis is a resident of St Petersburg and a student athlete at Flagler College. He is in his second year, double majoring in business and accounting while playing on the golf team. In his rare spare time, Travis enjoys all sports and family interactions, particularly with his 4 siblings.
Travis and Dean had a passionate relationship that began when Travis was 14 years old and Dean became his golf coach. Travis and Dean spent 1000's of hours together on and off the course. If they weren't practicing, playing or watching golf, they were talking about it while watching another sporting event. They developed an intense bond while they spent the next few years pursuing Travis' dream of playing collegiate golf. When Travis teed it up in his first collegiate tournament last fall, he somehow found the fairway on that first shot. Undoubtedly, Deans inspiration was with him that day. Its equally as certain that Dean mumbled "knucklehead" more than once as he watched down upon Travis later in the round!
Dean was a profound influence on Travis's life and no day or round of golf goes by that a quote, a story, or a fond memory passes through Travis's mind. The few years that they had together will live on forever with Travis as he pursues his goals in golf and life.
Travis is a strong supporter of Melanoma awareness and keen on creating awareness amongst his peers and youngsters that are outside in the sun. Travis hopes that the painful, premature loss of his great friend and mentor will pave the way to save others from this horrible disease.
